It still happens very rarely. There will always be security breeches in 
any OS but in Linux they are exceedingly uncommon. I'm not sure if this 
is because linux is inherently more secure or there is a lack of 
programs which exploit weaknesses, but it is indisputable that linux is 
a more secure alternative to MS windows.

Please do not reignite this debate. As somebody who participated in it, 
I don't want to see it restart. People were starting to become 
offensive, and basically we've all had our say s there is no problem in 
bringing it up again here again. I'm sure that those who were not 
involved are even less keen to see it ressurected than I am.
