No, I'm not missing the mark.  You're making a mistake if you think you have
an way to stop people giving you advice on _anything_.  Including their
opinions of qmail.

Oh, grow up.  Qmail _is_, by any definition, a pain in the butt to install
from source when you can get perfectly adequate mail programs from
packages.  There are arguable reasons why someone might go to that trouble,
but when you do it _and_ forcibly break your Ubuntu configuration, you get
what you deserve.
