Dapper X is borked!

things are quite fun in Dapper in the last couple of days.  When I
logged in just now, I got 54 gnome error messages about applets and
the volume manager :)

My last upgrade was last night. hopefully with today's updates, things
will be a bit better.  That's the fun part of living on the cutting
edge of Ubuntu development.
