Dapper X is borked!

Same thing has happened to me. There are some thread in the forums about 
this; there does seem to be some sort of work-around, but it didn't work 
for everyone, and I haven't tried it.

At time of writing (Fri Jan 20, 00:33 UCT) I've downloaded the latest 
updates, which include xserver-xorg, x11-common and 
x-window-system-core, and everything is working once again.

(To do this from the command line:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade  )
