I play games under Linux as I've got a young son, almost 6 years old.
He started on Tuxpaint and Pingus. Then he tried Supertux and Tuxkart,
and he starts going deep in gcompris (g='j'ai' ; for 'I' and
'compris=understood' so it's 'I understood' the name of the package,
full with educational games). Some games coming from the non free world
software can be emulated, some can't.
Anyhow, here a list of links for those who love games, and always keep
in mind, reporting a bug, is contributing to better your favorite games.

Now the list:

There is a package named 'zsnes' available with apt-get. I use it to
emulate a non-free old game, (abandonware, there are plenty).

Wine has good forums to help fix some little pbs to make other non free
games run under it.

To end with, there is a web page on Ubuntu site where we can see the
games being under developping actually.

And at last, do some know what's up with ppracer actually ? (former
tuxracer with this one name still defining the package) cause it's
become impossible to run it, I don't know why ?
Best Greetings, Joyce Markoll.
