sure you can use this driver! just
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-driver-ati
sudp dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
and when asked what driver, choose radeon, if its not already enabled in
xorg. why shouldnt you be able to use it ubuntu?
