Hello,
After the latest upgrade of my Dapper installation I got some problems.
Evolution stopped working and when I try to start it from the command
line, I get the following:
(evolution:4735): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_accel_group_connect: assertion
`accel_key > 0' failed
(evolution:4735): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_accel_group_connect: assertion
`accel_key > 0' failed
(evolution:4735): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_accel_group_connect: assertion
`accel_key > 0' failed
(evolution:4735): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_accel_group_connect: assertion
`accel_key > 0' failed
(evolution:4735): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_accel_group_connect: assertion
`accel_key > 0' failed
(evolution:4735): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_accel_group_connect: assertion
`accel_key > 0' failed
(evolution:4735): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_accel_group_connect: assertion
`accel_key > 0' failed
Another problem is that restarting or shutting down the system doesn't
work anymore. At first anything just didn't happen, but then I started
to get messages
saying "Panel applett has crashed". Now both panels seem to have frozen
(menus don't open and buttons don't work, but tooltips still jump up). I
tried reseting the machine, but the problem didn't go away [Update: the
panels started working after reseting the machine]. Oh yes - and eth0
doesn't become active anymore at the boot.
I haven't noticed problems with other programs so far - Epiphany,
OpenOffice and some Gnome games at least work OK.
When I did the upgrade that lead to these problems, the terminal showed
a couple of errors, but for some reason copy-pasting from the terminal
window (the one that Synaptic wakes up) didn't work (a bug?)and so I
didn't save the error messages - sorry :-/ The last upgrade that was OK
(as far as
I know) I did about 18 hours ago.
Regards,
Ari
