Hi Sasha

Well, you are lucky. About a month ago, the company's Windows 2003
Server started rebooting spontaneously, causing much disruption of work.
It turned out to be an "unpatched" rpc vulnerability which had been
exploited.
Over the period of time during which the 2003 server box must have
rebooted about 20 times, there was not one peep, not one shudder,
nothing, from the mail server which is running an alpha version of SUse
10.1.

The fix involved downloading 130 odd MB of patch/update software and
rebooting again. If that's not "showstopping" I don't know what is.

I suppose that applies to me too. There is definitely room for both, as
long as Windows is on other people's machines and not mine, then I'm
happy. They are welcome to all those viruses and updates.

cheers
