I would if I could, but Dapper Flight 3 is the first version of  
Ubuntu/Kubuntu to work on my G5. Unfortunately, I don't have a choice  
at this point, unless I use a different distro, as was mentioned on  
this list (!?!), like Yellow Dog Linux. Personally, Ubuntu/Kubuntu  
has always had a special place in my heart since it came out and I  
tried it on IBM iron. I have been hoping to be able to work through  
the problems and learn something at the same time. Interestingly, I  
can get the Ubuntu version to work with network configuration, which  
is of course a prerequisit for updating the system as it develops. I  
just happen to like KDE better than GNOME.

I know KDE can be installed, but at least in Hoary, there were  
problems getting K3B to work with GNOME.
