For the last two days my networking has stopped working during the
night. My ISP claims there is no problem at their end or with the cable
modem, and I have to run /etc/init.d/networking stop and start to get it
working again.
I get the following output in /var/log/messages:
Jan 17 02:22:21 localhost -- MARK --
Jan 17 02:25:10 localhost kernel: [4350138.466000] e100: eth0:
e100_watchdog: link down
Jan 17 02:25:12 localhost kernel: [4350140.466000] e100: eth0:
e100_watchdog: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex
Jan 17 02:25:16 localhost dhcdbd: message_handler: message handler not
found under /com/redhat/dhcp/eth0 for sub-path eth0.dbus.get.domain_name
Jan 17 02:42:21 localhost -- MARK --
repeated 5 to 10 times, spaced at 5 to 30 minute intervals.
Also when I boot the machine I get these startup messages:
Jan 16 11:02:17 localhost dhcdbd: Started up.
Jan 16 11:02:18 localhost dhcdbd: message_handler: message handler not
found under /com/redhat/dhcp/eth0 for sub-path eth0.dbus.get.reason
Jan 16 11:02:24 localhost dhcdbd: message_handler: message handler not
found under /com/redhat/dhcp/eth0 for sub-path eth0.dbus.get.domain_name
I can't find any relevant bug report with google or malone. Does
someone recognise the problem?
Cheers,
Toby
