Will Ubuntu use KDE instead of Gnome ?

As I know there was just Ubuntu with Gnome desktop, then community people
started Kubuntu with KDE desktop instead of Gnome...
I've heared a story that Ubuntu will come with KDE and so there should not
be Kubuntu and maybe start another project with the name of Gubuntu....
