hi folks,
after various problems with postfix & mailman thought I'd got
everything set up properly (mailman works, mail gets delivered...);
but today the server slowed to a halt & syslog filled with error
messages like this one (seen aferter /etc/init.d/postfix restart):
Jan 13 21:57:42 localhost postfix/master[7924]: warning:
/usr/lib/postfix/pipe: bad command startup -- throttling
Jan 13 21:58:04 localhost postfix/master[7924]: terminating on signal
15
Jan 13 21:58:04 localhost postfix/master[20012]: daemon started --
version 2.2.4, configuration /etc/postfix
Jan 13 21:58:04 localhost postfix/qmgr[20016]: A0E7B7F741:
from=<mailman-bounces at lists.derailleur.org>, size=1246, nrcpt=1 (queue
active)
Jan 13 21:58:05 localhost postfix/master[20012]: warning: process
/usr/lib/postfix/pipe pid 20018 exit status 1
Jan 13 21:58:05 localhost postfix/master[20012]: warning:
/usr/lib/postfix/pipe: bad command startup -- throttling
--------------
Anyone know what this means, and in which config files I should look?
I've modified conf files for postfix & mailman as per
/usr/lib/mailman/bin/postfix-to-mailman.py . Happy to provide more
info, just don't want to spam the list with all the modified files.
thanmks,
matt
