Bug in Ubuntu device database

I ran the Ubuntu device database application on my linuxpc. It worked
fine until I reached the network settingm test, then it quit working.
It got stuck displaying "Network Test" with below it "Is your mouse
working properly?" then nothing until the "Help/Cancel/Forward"

I think it might be caused by the modem I have.
