It is fairly simple to set up a dial-up internet connection.
System->Administration->Networking will get you into the networking
configuration. Find your modem in the 'Connections' list, select it, and
click the 'Properties' button. Check 'Enable this connection' and insert
the appropriate information. Head over to the Modem tab, click
'Autodetect,' wait for a few seconds, and it should fill in the device
name. Click OK, make sure your modem is selected, click Activate, and
you should be online.
