Samba-Swat

I'm new to Ubuntu. I've installed it, and so far, it's been great. My
problem is the following. I'm trying to setup my Ubuntu as a Domain
Member of a Samba NT4 Domain. With Ubuntu, I've installed Webmin and
Samba-Swat. I have no problem running Webmin, but when I try to run
Samba-swat, I can't log in as root, so I log in as myself. Even though
my main group is root, I don't get the Global, Shares, Printers and
Wizard Icons. 

I prefer Samba-Swat over Webmin's Samba Web Administration tool. Is
there a work around this?
