Invocation of applications which require root permitions

I've the same problem with a Dapper new install.

I've choosen expert mode too.

Thank you for the hints.

Anyway, I would like to know how can I restore the expression

:~$ sudo COMMAND



which apparently means to know how to edit /etc/sudoers.
