no GUI

Hello All,

I'm new to the Ubuntu world (I've been using Hurd and FreeBSD for as
long as I can remember).  And I wanted to ask if there was an option to
disable X installation on Breezy.

I'm not too good with WM's and the color hurts my eyes ;)

I wanted to try out Ubuntu and all of a sudden I saw myself seeing a
progress bar copying a whole slew of crap onto my system. Not good.

Is there any way to manually set up an environment or are you stuck with
having to un-install everything that Ubuntu puts in?
