Hi all,

I upgraded a desktop machine running Breezy before Christmas as
usual with `apt-get dist-upgrade'. After that X didn't start anymore
with the following error:

(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module!

I don't know what to do. Before upgrading everything worked fine. I
also repeated the steps in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia?highlight=%28nvidia%29

Any help is appreciated!! This machine is unusable for the
corresponding user.

System:
GeForce2 GTS/Pro
Kernel 2.6.12-10-k7

$ dpkg -l nvidia* | grep ^ii
ii nvidia-glx-legacy 1.0.7174-0ubuntu25.1 NVIDIA binary

ii nvidia-kernel-common 1.0.7667+1 NVIDIA binary kernel

>From xorg.conf:

        Driver "nvidia"
        BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
        # Nur fuer nvidia-Treiber:
        Option "NoLogo"
        Option "RenderAccel" "false"

Best,
Christoph
