Speaking of which...

Is there a trick to getting apt-build to run under Ubuntu?

I've installed the apt-build package and had the repository added to my
sources.list, but every attempt I've ever made at installing a package
from source has failed with obscure dpkg-buildpackage problems.

Is there an undocumented dependency I'm not aware of?

Thanks...
