update notifier

I am not sure I understand you well. The above instructions will keep
update-notifier from being loaded, now, on the next boot, in 3 weeks, in
3 months, forever (for this user).
Wasn't it what you asked for ?

If really you are worried, well, just remove the "update-notifier"
package...
