Modem no dial tone problem

I try to connect to internet vid modem but it's shown on dial tone. The
following is what I got.. Could someone help me out. Thanks you..

Found a modem on /dev/ttySL0.
Modem configuration written to /etc/wvdial.conf.

guanyu at home:~$ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf
guanyu at home:~$ sudo wvdial
