Firefox 1.5 very high load

I have FF1.5 installed and I do not have this problem.

But perhaps it is simply because I am running a dual core Athlon64 4200+ 
CPU with 4GB RAM that I do not notice the issue? One of the cores could 
well "max out" with the other maintaining the system responsiveness? 
Just an idea . . . but the systems spec could be masking the issue.
