apache2-ssl and logrotate problems

I just set up a apache2 with ssl protection under breezy.
This morning I recognized that apache stop working.

The problem is, that the commands:

 if [ -f /var/run/apache2.pid ]; then
  /etc/init.d/apache2 restart > /dev/null
 fi

in /etc/logrotate.d/apache2 do not work because I protected
my server.key with a password.

Is there a workaround or do I need to remove the password from the
key using:

openssl rsa -in wlanhacking.key -out wlanhacking.key.UNPROTECTED

A happy new year to all!!
