Ubuntu Config/Installing Packages help

I'm hopeful I can find some help here with a recalcitrant OldWorld PowerPC
G3 that can't get past the Ubuntu Configuration, Installing Packages screen.
Or rather, loves it so much that even though mysql dependencies aren't met
and I swear I'll take care of them manually, keeps cycling back to that
screen.

As far as I can tell, the initial install, up to the point where it spits
out the disc and reboots, went swimmingly.
