Easy way/script to add another user like me?

It would appear that on Feb 24, Tommy Trussell did say:

I'm also a long time computer user with some pie in the sky notions...
I'm NOT what I'd call expert at the cli which literally stands for
"command line input" I can't always remember enough of what I need for
that. But I'm a strongly keyboard oriented user for whom the gui solutions
usually are even less intuitive than the cli ones. I much prefer text
based tools that _CAN_ be scripted. Especially if they have an optional
interactive mode that offers helpful reminders or documentation (man
pages etc...) that include enough examples to help me understand what I
need to do without reading a whole book to remember how to use a one-line
command.

I like the idea of all system tasks being manageable from the gui, but
ONLY if a strong dedication is there to also keep ALL system tasks
manageable WITHOUT depending on the gui. Or at least let me do things
without having to dust off my trackball (which is sometimes left
pointing at something I need to remember if/when I restore a particular
window/program... I really dislike tasks that REQUIRE me to move it.)

I would consider a system where you HAVE to use gui tools for system
tasks to be at least as "elitist" as one where you HAVE to use cli
tools.

Ideally I'd like to see everything manageable from cli and or well
commented editable configuration files, with a good set gui wrappers
that ultimately compose a cli (and preferably {at least optionally}
display the resulting cli, for user education) and/or informs the user
of what changes are being made to which configuration files...

By the way, of course there is an "inconsistent system underneath" any
complex OS that lets the user make as many choices as any linux does.
What works in one window manager may not work in another. What works for
users who use a browser to manage their files may not work for someone
who uses a tool such as mc (midnight commander) for that. What works for
someone who uses a gui mail client may not work for a user of mail
clients such as mutt or (my favorite) pine. etc... etc...

Just my two cents worth

Joe
