mail-notification and bonobo

Hrm, it seems that the problem is that you have to specify the
appropriate prefix. I should have read the INSTALL file, but being
as oblivious as I am, I didn't see it before...

Anyway, in case anyone else has this problem, make sure you
`./configure --prefix=/usr` (unless for some reason your GNOME
libraries are installed someplace weird).

However, at least for now, I can't seem to get the application to
actually start. That is, it crashes as soon as I try to run it.
