New laptop

Hi there,
I'm thinking about getting myself a new laptop. I've found a 13" duo
core with abg wifi and intel SMA 64mb pci-express graphic card. How does
these features work with ubuntu? Will the graphic card allow for 3d
acceleration? Will the wifi module be recognized? Does linux support duo
core load balancing or will it work as a regular centrino?
The laptop is from a small shop so there is not much information in
internet. I may try to persuade the vendor and try a live cd anyway.
