installing USB extigy sound card

hi there,

just trying to be PRO active... Im going to install an extigy sound
card and I ve looked around. it doesnt seem to be a straight forward
install.

are there measure I could do in order to be proactive? install lates alsa driver
and what else? have anybody here had luck with it?
