accessing home computer thru vino

I wish to access my home PC using the Remote Desktop feature included in
Ubuntu, but I can't find appropriate documentation either locally or on
the Net for the Ubuntu vino.

1) I figure the default localhost.localdomain:0 is not to be used.
   My PC is connected thru ADSL using DHCP and has a hostname I gave it.
   I don't have any registered net address. Can I use MyHostname.MyISP?

2) What options should be checked in Login Screen Setup > Security ?
   What other tab should I use in Login Screen Setup?

3) Can anybody point me to HowTos/articles/tutorials on Remote Desktop
setup & use? All I can find is generic stuff but no hands-on
instructions, though I see many on the list seem to use it frequently.
