RSYNC problem (corrupted archive)

Greetings,

I am running a breezy ubuntu server.

It seems that I have got SOME ubuntu .deb files with
a proper time stamp and file size, but a wrong checksum.
Plus, I have got  A FEW corrupted debian .deb files too.

Any clue what the problem is?
Is it my connection?
Or any rsync bug?

Is it considered polite to run the rsync -c option?
