Hi list,
I'm having trouble with screen blanking on Dell's Latitude D600 laptop. I
disable xscreensaver, I turn off Energy Saving, I cannot locate any settings in
BIOS nor anywhere else from System or any other menus. The problem is that while
running on battery, the screen blanks after a minute of inactivity. I'd want to
stretch this time to, say, five minutes perhaps. I just don't know how.
I get the feeling it's an acpi event. I've grepped thru /etc, but fail to see
where 'screenblank' event gets the initiative. Maybe I just don't know what to
grep for. :) Could someone point me to the correct direction, or nudge to look
for correct issues, if this isn't an acpi thing at all?
Here's details about the system:
jaska at jjod600n:~$ uname --all
Linux jjod600n 2.6.12-10-686 #1 Mon Jan 16 17:58:04 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux
Dell Latitude D600 1GB ram 80GB HDD 1.6GHz P4-M ATi Radeon 9000 FireGL Mobility
Thanks in advance for any possible aid!
