Bugs are fixed, but no new versions are added. That's the way things are 
done in Debian based distros. It tends to make for less bugs and 
compatibility issues. Of course the downside is that the system doesn't 
stay up-to-date very long. This is offset in my opinion by Ubuntu's 
release cycle, which is both regular and frequent.
