xterm problem

Hi all,

Since my switch from debian sarge to ubuntu breezy i have problems with 
xterm.

A xterm with midnight commander running inside looks like this:

If i do

$ ssh -Y sargehost
sargehost$ xterm
<start mc inside xterm>

i get this:

http://www.ant.uni-bremen.de/~rebehn/xterm-sarge.jpg

Two problems can be seen:

- the highlighted fonts are almost unreadable
- the scrollbar has wrong size

Since both xterms are displayed on the same Xserver, it cannot be a font 
issue.

Any ideas?
