You're right about the price but look at the clock speeds. The AMD 64
X2 3800+ runs at 2 GHz. The AMD 64 3800+ runs at 2.4 GHz. That's a
sizable difference. To get an X2 at 2.4 GHz, you have to step up to
the 4200+, which is almost double the price.
I'm still going to go with an AMD 64, but I think that I'll stick to
the single core. Too much money and not enough benefit yet for the
dual core.
