Controling access to mythweb

I had an incident o a previous myth backend where someone deleted files
remotely, using mythweb.

I'm setting up a new backend using Ubuntu 6.10, and I would like to contro
access to the mythweb, by requireing a user name and password. I recall
that I need to use httaccess to achieve this.

How can I integrate this into th Ubuntu installation of mythweb?
