Problem ndiswrapper with a belkin 802.11g

I have sorted out my problem. It is a very curious story.

I had not noticed that the eth0, my cable connection had a static IP
address.
The belkin wireless router does not like this at all. I was being given
my DHCP from the router, but then the static address was being used and
the Belkin dropped out again.

Beware out there. Have a great christmas, and thanks to all those who
tried to point me in the right direction, especially dragffy.
