You can specify where the 'printed' PDF's are saved: Just edit
cups-pdf.conf in /etc/cups ( e.g. sudo gedit /etc/cups/cups-pdf.conf ).
In this file you'll find a line beginning with 'Out'. Now you just have
to specify the location where you want the printed stuff to be saved...
I use
Out ${HOME}/Desktop
for example... If you want the printed pages to be saved in ~/PDF, you
have to edit the line so that it looks like:
Out ${HOME}/PDF
For this change to take effect I suggest that you have to restart the
computer...
