Print to PDF - where did the PDF get saved?

You can specify where the 'printed' PDF's are saved: Just edit 
cups-pdf.conf in /etc/cups ( e.g. sudo gedit /etc/cups/cups-pdf.conf ). 
In this file you'll find a line beginning with 'Out'. Now you just have 
to specify the location where you want the printed stuff to be saved... 
I use

Out ${HOME}/Desktop

for example... If you want the printed pages to be saved in ~/PDF, you 
have to edit the line so that it looks like:

Out ${HOME}/PDF

For this change to take effect I suggest that you have to restart the 
computer...
