Ubuntu icon/logo in the gnome panel: how to change it ?

Problem fixed !

I have been hearing for quite some time about "Inkscape", a vector
drawing program.
I installed it, fiddled with it for a few minutes, and it was
perfectly capable of making a nice SVG icon out of the PNG Gnome foot
icon, lovely, I am fully sorted now ! :o)
