update-manager broken after edgy upgrade

I think the other poster who suggested the -y switch actually meant -f.
>From man apt-get:
-f, --fix-broken
    Fix; attempt to correct a system with broken dependencies
    in place.

-y, --yes, --assume-yes
    Automatic yes to prompts; assume "yes" as answer to all prompts
    and run non-interactively.


What happens when you run it like this?
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get -f install
