Package: python
Version: 2.4.3-11ubuntu3
Severity: important

After upgrading to Edgy from Dapper, I can no longer install python2.3

# apt-get install python2.3
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package python2.3 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
  python
E: Package python2.3 has no installation candidate
