Opening .dar files?

- From looking at the dar package description it would seem that dar is in
universe, so wouldn't be on the live CD.  There may be other
alternatives available to open .dar files that I am unaware of, but the
package called "dar" is in universe and therefore would have to be
installed while the live CD is running in order to use it.  And yes it
is possible to install a package while the live CD is running, it just
goes away the next time you boot the CD.  Just be sure to uncomment the
universe repository if necessary and apt-get update before installing
packages.  The number of extra packages you will be able to install will
depend on the amount of ram you have.
