What sort of "data modeling" do you want to do? :) Actually, I've been
through quite some time using the "dia" package in order to do simple
flowcharts, UML diagrams or ER-models. However, it surely takes some
time getting used to dia, and you really don't want to use it, say, in
order to do professional software engineering. ;)
