more lockup laptop problems with dapper

I am not bothered by lockup problem, but I also use a laptop with ATI video
card (xpress 1100) and am thus unable to use 3d functionality.

I was wondering if there is a possibility to use native windows ATI video card 
driver with some wrapper software just like ndiswrapper is used for some
broadcom wlan windows drivers?
