Screenlock inconsistent after Suspend

On my notebook (MSI S270W), there's a difference in behaviour between
Suspend through activity (button, menu, lid) and Suspend through
inactivity (power manager). After a Suspend through activity, the screen
is locked. But if it enters Suspend through inactiviy, the screen doesn't
get locked. Is this a bug, intentional behaviour, or should I be able to
configure it myself somewhere?

If it's a bug, should I file a bugreport? There are quite a lot of open
bugs about inconsistent screenlocking already.

Oh, and this particular case seems to be solved almost three months ago,
considering the last comment. But the bug is still open:
