I am *SO* going to turn off automatic updates.

Currently can't use Ubuntu.

Login screen doesn't come up. Some kind of X server error.

This worked perfectly for MONTHS until some update yesterday.

I remembered 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg' and went through the 
steps, sticking with the defaults as usual.

Still doesn't work.

Back on Windows now.  If I go back to Ubuntu it will be without 
automatic updates thankyouverymuch.
