After not being able to generate the right type of response to my
question, I've chosen to rephrase it.

*Why is my Treo 700p unable to consistently sync with my laptop via USB
cable?

*Please bare with me, this post contains the output of several commands,
which may initially make it look intimidating.

I've include the output for things that I feel may be helpful for
problem solving, if you need more please ask.
