Interesting link.  I had "the problem" last night on the same Thinkpad
(T40p) and several others:
T30(1280x1024), T30(1400x1050), T41(1280x1024), Compaq EVO 610c

Which is every box I updated.  I doubt sincerely that the comment of
"... only effected 2% ..." has any validity.
