xserver-xorg-core update

I just got caught out with an upgrade to this:

   xserver-xorg-core_1%3a1.0.2-0ubuntu10.3_i386.deb

I didn't have an older version in /var/cache/apt/archives/ but
bizarrely the version I found by following the download links from 

  http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/x11/xserver-xorg-core

was this:

  xserver-xorg-core_1.0.2-0ubuntu10_i386.deb

which works fine.  I used `dpkg -i ...deb` to downgrade, followed by
`aptitude hold xserver-xorg-core` --- is this a correct procedure?
