ssh to my machine returns: Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer

Hi guys,

I just started getting this message today when I tried to putty in my
work computer.

Then tonight back on the target computer I still get the message:
chiefinnovator at MAIN1:~$ ssh localhost
Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer

Any help or suggestions would be great.
