Syncing a Treo 700p with Evolution (or a Treo 650) Please Read

Hi, I've exhausted the forums, wiki, and irc and still have not been
able to resolve this issue. I own a Palm OS Treo 700p. What I want to
do is be able to sync it (ideally) to evolution.
Has ANYONE found a consistent method to sync either their Treo 700p (or
even a Treo 650 since I believe it may be quite similar) with Dapper?
First, I tried syncing via the USB cable. It works inconsistently,
successfully syncing only about once every ten times. (This is using
gnome-pilot via the USB cable conduit).
Next, I tried syncing via blue tooth, this needless to say was also not
successful. I've attempted to sync using the following programs:
gnome-pilot, kpilot, jpilot and even multisync all to no avail.
Is it easier to use bluetooth, or the USB cable to sync?
Anyone one with ANY suggestion please feel free to offer it.
-Justin
